1945: Chimac was founded as one of
the first Belgian companies specialized in production and trading
of agrochemical products.
1950: The Company SBAPCM formed an agricultural division called
Agriphar. This division specialized in the synthesis of various
products derived from base chemicals (copper, arsenic, etc.).
In the late sixties the Agriphar division started focusing more
and more on the development of new products.
1970-1980: The seventies and eighties were marked by a series
of investments that finally ended in the purchase of Chimac and
the formation of a new company Chimac - Agriphar.
1988: After the consolidation of the various production sites
into the Ougrée industrial Estate, the newly formed company Chimac
- Agriphar renewed its operating licences for a further 30 years.
1990: the Belgian company Protex acquired Chimac - Agriphar.
2005: Chimac - Agriphar was split into two independent companies,
Chimac SA and Agriphar SA, each with an independent strategy
and management team. Together with their affiliated companies,
they form the Agriphar Group.
